Temperatures in Kashmir valley are set to cross 30°C in the coming days. While in parts of Jammu, temperatures may cross 41°C.
There is a possibility of short thundershowers at a few places today towards late afternoon/evening, however, this won't stop the mercury from rising any further.
As per the present analysis, peak temperatures during the heatwave are expected between 13 & 15 May.
Dry weather conditions and the absence of Western Disturbance will cause the mercury to rise sharply.
